I am hoping that my plans to attend the Danville Crossing meeting in June come true. But there is something I hope more. I am getting older and at age 65 am not sure how much longer I have to go tromping through cemeteries and court house basements. I hope 30 years <G> but doubt that. What I want is help. My 3rd great Grandpa was Able Jackson who lived his adult life in Humphreys County. Before I die I want to walk where he walked and if possible see an area where he may be buried. In the 1850 census he was in household #178 next to his son John Jackson who was in household #173. That in itself has me confused since I thought John was in Benton County? In 1850 Able was still living with his first wife and my 3rd Great Grandma Clarissa Tomlinson Jackson. She died in 1856 and old Able must have already had another lady picked out because he didn't waste any time getting married to Parthena Brown Ridings and then he only lived another year <G> I guess it was Parthena Brown Ridings Jackson who saw to Abel's burial? Or maybe son John? Where did Able live? Where could he be buried? Where is Clarissa Buried? This isn't in any books I can find , it doesn't seem to be in the local libraries. I suppose if one of you said "there is the spot", I'd be happy to go there , take a photo and die happy <G> ( in another 30 years!) Mary Harkey Russell bird@scrtc.com http://www.scrtc.com/~bird/
