Obituary: William C. Parker was born in Humphreys county, Tenn., April 15, 1827, and died near Pleasant Valley, Dallas county, Texas, November 20, 1892. He joined the Cumberland Presbyterian church in 1851, and moved to Texas in November 1857, and has been one of the pioneers of the church in Texas, and a consistent ruling elder and superintendent of the Sabbath-school of Pleasant Valley congregation. He was loved by all. His last words were, "I have fought a good fight, I have kept the faith, and am going to my home in heaven." W. A. I.
