I want to personally thank everyone who participated in Danville Crossing's Homecoming 2000. I think it was a lot of fun and overall, a success. Everyone loooked so " spiffy" in the teeshirts with the logo our Jan designed, and all seemed to have found at least one new cousin or some bit of information they hadn't known before. Special thanks to jan for soldering on in the face of awful things happening around her, and to Linda, our on-site person without whom we really would not have been able to pull it off, and to Tim and if COURSE to Cher who was our guide and inspiration even when she was otherwise occupied. She was never far from our minds and hearts and the Reunion the held almost all on her own last year , was our base for being able to hold it again this year. The Silent Auction was very successful , with people buying souvineniers for themselves and family members, and quite a variety of talents were displayed in the items donated for the sale., and MUCH appreciated! I am home from what ended up over a 3,000mile-9-day trip, have been up since yesterday morning, so I am unpacking and packing ME into the bed! See you all when i am a little more rested-up!
