Looking for any evidence of a Medcalf (sometimes called Metcalf) family in Humphrey Co. after 1860. My gg grandfather William Wallace MEDCALF married Rebecca Victoria Hatcher in Humphrey in 1874. He was a two year old belonging to Joel and Susan Medcalf in Maury Co. in 1860. I want to know when this family relocated to Humphrey and when they left, as he died in Houston Co. in 1942.
