Fellow Researchers: Hopefully this semi-annual query will produce the source/documentation for the death date for Hezekiah Pigg OWEN. Several researchers are using the subject death date of 15 AUG 1853, Graves County, KY, but are unable to advise their source of such a date from their databases. Hezekiah Pigg OWEN was a son of William and Edie (PIGG) OWEN, being born ca 1776, in the vicinity of Pittsylvania Co., VA. Along with his parents and other family members, they moved to Wilkes Co., NC ca 1796. They then moved to Barren/Warren Co., KY, ca 1802-03, and Hezekiah married Elizabeth "Betsey" LOWE, 05 MAY 1803, in Warren Co., KY. This particular OWEN line was closely allied with and married to the GREER and LOWE families in Wilkes Co., NC and Barren/Warren and Graves Counties, KY. Hezekiah and his family were in Hickman Co., KY, in 1830; in Calloway Co., KY, in 1840; Graves Co., KY, in 1850, per Census Reports. They resided about 2-miles West of Wingo, Graves Co., KY.
