John Freeman of Detroit is spending a few days at home with his mother, Mrs. Hix L. Freeman. Miss Vivian McCauley entertained her school pupils with a lunch and picnic last Wednesday evening at Largent's Spring. Condie Lyles, USN, has returned to his base after a 30 day leave with his parents Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Lyles. Miss Annie Dell Largent of Paris visited Mrs. N.N. Nichols, Mrs. H. F. Outlaw and other relatives here recently. Miss Margaret Bell was in Paducah, Kentucky for a few days last week. Mrs. Beulah Bobo is visiting in Paris this week. Mr. and Mrs. R.D. Barnes, Mrs. Irene Pathtell, Mrs. Stanley Booker and Mrs. A.A. Lyles entertained a party of 21 young folks in honor of Condie Lyle, USN, Thursday evening with a lunch and picnic at Largent's Spring. Mrs. Otis Outlaw spent a few days last week with Mr. and Mrs. H.F. Outlaw. Mrs. Ed Lindsey spent last weekend in Clarksville with her daughter, Mrs. Wayman Hassel. The many friends of Uncle Cullen Webb, a life time resident of here, are sorry that he is very ill. He is in the hospital at Clarksville. Mrs. Jessie Pitt and small son are in Detroit for a visit to relatives. She will be accompanied home by her brother Jimmie Shaw, who has completed his basic training at Great Lakes. Roe Markin, USN, will leave this week after a leave with his wife and parents. Mr. and Mrs. George Pitt have returned from Paris where Mr. Pitt under went a minor operation at the Nobles hospital.
