Date of Newspaper: Tuesday, September 29, 1953 Page: Front Page Article Title: "Former Houston Girl Marries in Collinsville, Illinois" Miss Peggy Nell Daugherty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Daugherty of Collinsivlle, Illinios, but formerly of Tennessee Ridge, Tennessee and Dale Franklin Bilyeu of Collinsville, were married in a very impressive ceremony at First Presbyterian church of Collinsville, September 21st. Rev. A. Ralph Lynn heard the vows before the altar illuminated with burning candles in candelabra. The double ring service was used. The bride was attired in a wedding gown of Nylon Tulle and imported chantilly lace over tafeta. The fingertip veil was held by a juliet cap of lace and seed pearls. She carried a white testament, adorned with an orchid and stephanotis and showered with satin ribbon. The groom is in the armed services and will be stationed at Camp Polk, Louisiana.
