Vickers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sanders R. Lewis of Erin, Houston County, Tennessee was promoted to his present rank on September 29, 1954. He is now serving with the Service Battery 457th. Airborne Field Artillery Battalion of the 11th Airborne Division, stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Prior to his entrance in the Army in January of 1951, Sergeant Vickers attended Richland High School in Nashville, Tennessee and was employed by the Young Sales Company. He recently returned from the European Theatre where he served with the 26th Infantry Division. At the present time he is assigned as an Ammunition Section Chief.
