I don't know if you have found any information on Grover and Effie Adkins, and if not maybe this will help... Both are listed in the book titled "They Passed This Way" that lists cemeteries in that county. According to this book there are 15 Adkins listed as "buried in cemeteries outside Houston Co and are not listed in this book, or donated to medical science; or are cremated and burial is unknown." The information given was: Adkins, Grover B. 9/5/1884 - 3/5/1975 Memorial Gardens; Dickson Co., TN. Adkins, Effie 11/12/1885 - 7/24/0972 Memorial Gardens; Dickson Co., TN. There are 15 other Adkins listed also, most of them appear to be buried in Dickson also. If you would like the info on them just let me know. I was wondering if you had any info on Rachel Adkins? I received a wonderful book for Christmas called "They Passed This Way". It has all the listings of the cemeteries in Houston Co. It includes the names, dates, and inscriptions of the graves. It also gives the location of the cemeteries. The are buried in the Hatfield Cemetery which is located: from Erin, take State highway 13 south going toward Waverly. Go approximately 3 miles to State highway 231 south. Turn left onto State highway 231 south going toward McEwen. Go approximately 1.1 miles. It is located on the right side of the road at the corner of Winters Hollow Road sign. I was there almost 3 years ago and it was in terrible condition, very overgrown. There were only 3 stones that are marked with headstones, others with plain stones. According to the note in the book, there are at least 9 graves marked with field stones. I hope this has been of some help to you in finding this cemetery. We had a difficult time but finally came upon it. I hope that we can communicate more about our possible relationship. I have many of the names you have mentioned in your postings.Warden, Averitte, Breeden, and Bratschi. All of these married Parrish's. Maybe we could compare notes??? Hope to hear from you! Linda
