Can someone please look up Joel PEW/PUGH in the book Hickman Co TN 1807 - 1993? Also does anyone know if Joel can be a nickname for another name? (For example, I was told that Alexander NICKS, b. ca 1834 and cousin of Joel PEW, was also called "Joel.") If Joel can be a nickname for another name, then perhaps this explains why I have never found a PEW/PUGH family wth a child named Joel.
