Does anyone know if the James Harrington that Tennessee Spence married was the son of Drury Harrington and Mary Mattox? These Harringtons were from Chatham Co. Nc and in Hickman by 1811. Hickman Co TN 1807 - 1993: Researcher states that Drury Harrington and Mary Matlock had 7 children: Jane, Miles, Calvin, Sallie, Fannie, and Phillip. I know thats only 6 but thats what the book says. The submitter says Phillip was born on 03/27/1814 marr. Martha Wilson . They had 7 children: Wilson, James, Benjamin, John M., Elizabeth, Mary Jane, and Parthenia. Perhaps this James may be the husband of Tennessee Spence? The researcher did not give that info but the dates of birth would probably jive.
