Unfortunately there was no mention of the Craft family in Spence's "A History of Hickman County, Tenn" Sorry. There is a good chapter at the beginning on the pioneer settler's of the late 1700s & early 1800s. But if John Craft was gone after 1812 then maybe there was no one to tell his story when Spence got around to writing the boon (circa 1890s).
