Dear Listers: I hope to be passing through Hickman Co. during a family trip to TN at the beginning of Thanksgiving week. I would like to be able to do some research for a day (I'm afraid that's all the time I have). Could anyone tell me where to start? Is there a historical society for the county and where is it located/ hours/ etc.? Do they have many old records, or were all from that time period destroyed by fire? I am researching WATTS and YOUNG's from 1820's. Deborah YOUNG was listed in 1820 Census, p. 20, of Hickman Co. Does anyone know where that would have been located? Josiah WATTS had children there in 1820's before moving to Wayne Co., and then on to Tishomingo Co., MS. I would appreciate any information and advice. Thanks, Vicki Watts
