Hi Mary! Sorry so long in getting back to you, we have been out of town for a few days. No, I've never heard of Aaron Caughran. But there possibly might be family connection. Do you know what time frame this killing occurred? Thanks. Marji Morton

It is really encouraging to belong to a network of people that look out for each other. It wouldn't be nearly so much fun digging if each of us had to do it all by ourselves. Since I am located in Indiana, let me know if I can look up anything for you in our local resources. Macalyne Fristoe Lafayette, IN Transplanted Tennessean
Hi , I do not recall this surname but will keep it in mind as I work on my TN, KY, and IN lines. Ron K.
For those who would like a personal recommendation, I can not say enough good things about this book. It is beatifully done, the Historical Societ is to be complemented on an outstanding job. And while my family lines are sparsley mentioned, I learned so much about life in Hickman County, that I got a real sense of appreciation for how my family lived. Just a tremendous book. No Laura McClaren, but there is Laura McClearen listed in a Campbell-Nance family history. She is the daughter of John Franklin McClearen and Landonice Campbell. Is this yours? It is not clear to me exactly what information is in the book but it does not really matter because I need anything that you find on the following individual and her family.... Laura McClaren

Hi-- I was wondering if anyone had access to any census or marriage or death records and could do a look-up for me. Anna Land was my ggg grandmother. She was born to Joseph Land in Pendelton? Co., SC, about 1765 and was single when she had my gg grandfather, Abraham Land, in 1781. Anna later married a Jonathan Reaves/Reeves about 1782 and had two known children--George and Nancy. Anna and Jonathan supposedly moved to TN where Abraham Land and his first wife, Sarah Wofford lived. Are there any records of any kind on Anna? I do have some info on her descendants on the Reeves side, but would like to know more about her-- especially when and where she died. Thanks so much. You can e-mail me directly if you like. Helen Zuber Keusch gkeusch@psci.net And I am also Forever snooping in the ZUBER, GOODART, LAND, EDWARDS, CRABTREE, BENNETT, GOODWIN, CHAPMAN, EAKINS, FORD, SANDEFUR, MELTON, WALCUP, HANDLEY, EZELL, and THOMASSON family lines (my parents' families)
Hi, thanks for the offer of lookups; I am interested in any Tidwells listed. If there are too many to type up and send in email, I'll be glad to pay you for copies of the pages. Thanks, Janna Johns
Gordon, Thanks for the look-up offer. I'm looking for the family of Andrew and Carrie Haley. They were married in Orange Co NC May, 1817. They actually show up on the Dickson Co census of 1840 - 1860. On or near Plunders Creek. My line is thru their son William Lytle Haley of Garners Creek. Does the book mention their parents or other children ? Or when and where Andrew and Carrie may have died? Thanks again for your time. Todd Haley. -----Original Message----- From: gordon harbison [mailto:gmharbison@mediaone.net] Sent: Sunday, January 21, 2001 7:05 AM To: TNHICKMA-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [TNHICKMA] Hickman County History Books are now available Hello fellow listers, The Hickman County, Tennessee 1807-1993 book arrived in December and I got one for Christmas, I got the following message and thought I should pass it along to the list.
