Greetings to all, I am searching for info. regarding the Easley and Cloyd families in tenn. According to the 1880 census 1st district Hickman Co. Tenn. there is a Thomas W Easley Married to a Martha, and information that I have is that Martha's maiden name is Cloyd. Their children are listed as Annie, Grace, Mary, Newton, Ema, Chery, and Lomanie. Also listed as being in the household is a Lemuel "Cloid," age 10 identified as a cousin. In the space on the census form for last name Lemuel received a dash indicating his last name was Easley. I believe the cousin Lemuel was actually a cousin to Martha and not Thomas, being that her maiden name was "Cloyd" and which is obvious the census taker misspelled for Lemuel. I am trying to discover if this particular Lemuel is actually my grandfather. Every little tittle of information regarding these families is very much appreciated especially any light into Martha (Cloyd) Easley, such as her father, aunts and uncles. Thank you all Charles D Easley
