Hi everyone: I am looking for info on the parents of James C. HAYS (1810 - 1887) who ended up in Henry Co TN. His descendants went on into Calloway and Graves Counties in KY. James C. HAYS was born in Robertson Co TN and I believe his father was William HAYS born in VA who also ended up in Henry Co. Am curious about the connections to other HAYS families in the area at the time since there are a lot of connections through land transactions. These other HAYS include Samuel HAYS (1791-1875), David HAYS (1790 - 1858), Anna HAYS FISER (1774 - 1867), Robert HAYS (1780 - 1836 -- married to Julia), and Francis. I suspect that some or all of the above were siblings. They exchanged land with one another, witnessed deeds for one another and basically seemed to stick together.
