For guys and gals: What to wear... This is casual.. ..slacks, jeans, bermuda shorts (as opposed to the short shorts) sandles, canvas... what ever shoes you find comfortable.. since we are eating out of doors... and at the end of JUNE...(I hope in the shade or cool side of the bldg...)c:) so dress in clothing that breathes and is absorbant.. The humidity can be opressive... may need a snorkle!! <lol> BRING: Remember.. TO BRING: Blank floppies your FTM files on some floppies hard copies of your data (paper versions of your family sheets etc..) dimes.. for copies old photos to share.. old photos to post that you dont know... or sorta know... (these will be put on a bulletin board) An artifact.. something that belonged to an ancestor.. (who will bring the most unique? Oldest? oddity?) Tee shirt Contribution for the auction Your usual cemetery paraphernalia ( I include a umbrella in my junk) the sun is always in the wrong place.. Bug spray Visor or hat camera rubbing kit pencils, paper You may want to bring some text that you think will be most helpful.. for folks to do their own lookups.. in the meeting room. make sure your name is in each book you bring...I like to put my name in several places in a book.. May want to bring some little return address labels.. ... you know the ones we get free from VFW or whoever in the mail with our name and addy on them.. may be handy for swapping names and making your bids for the auction... and for any drawing.
