Looking for information on Sulphur Wells Academy. My ggggrandfather is said to have been the headmaster, William B. McNutt. I have read that he is buried on the grounds. About 10 years ago, I located where the school was, but the property was so overgrown that I could not get back in there to search to see if the grave was marked. If anyone has any information on this please let me know. How long did it operate as a school? When did it close? Any history of William B. McNutt as the headmaster.? Were either of his sons, George W. or Thomas, involved in the school. George W. is my ggrandfather. Is there any history of Thomas and his descendants in the area?
