Hi folks, I'm on several lists, and one of them did something I think it would be good for all of us to do, to get to know each other better and maybe help each other. Let's all give the list a lineage of ourselves and tell what (who) we are looking for, and see who comes up with a good connection. This is me below: George SAMPSON came from somewhere in Virginia. Meddie FINCH came from somewhere in North Carolina. They married in Henry County Tn. on 11-16-1868. Meddie's parents were John FINCH and Jerusha (?). George and Meddie had a son, Henry Lafayette Sampson on Nov 5, 1875 in Mineral Wells, now under Ky. Lake. Henry married Etta Maude SUGGS on May 25, 1904 in Mayfield, Ky. He died there on Oct 7, 1942. George and Meddie also had Lala, Emma, Maude, George, and Mattie May. Mattie was born in 1883, died in May, 1963. She lived near Mayfield, Ky. I am David Lee Ray, Henry and Maude's grandson, through their daughter Frances Mae Sampson and Alvis David Ray. That makes George and Meddie my great grandparents, and I'm looking for more info on them and their ancestors. Would also like anything I can get on siblings, spouses, whatever.
