Having looked at some USGS maps of part of District 15, and a scanned map of district boundaries kindly sent by Carol Hehemann, I'm a little discouraged about making a trip to try to find more about my ancestor James ARNOLD (in Henry before 1854). It looks very likely that his land is under water (no thanks to the Tennessee Valley dams). I've gone through the microfilm of deeds provided by the LDS, and he's not mentioned. So my question is, can anyone tell me if there's much prospect of finding anything more than what's on LDS microfilm, maybe at the courthouse, or at the county library? Jim
