Marietta, Thank you for the recent list of names off Henry Co Land and Deed. There was one person on it that I"m trying to find out more about. It was the HENRY LIGHTFOOT. Henry was married to Martha (Patsy) Daniel. But I am finding "conflict" over his wife's name, Martha Patsy. This is what I have so far on my Lightfoots. NOT ALL THE INFO BELOW IS DOCUMENTED. I believe the siblings below to be Caroline's. I'm still verifying much of it. Henry and family came out of Stewart County, Tenn into Henry Co. This is where the BROACH AND LIGHTFOOTS came together. If ANYONE sees any land records or other documents with HENRY LIGHTFOOT OR BASLEY BROACH OR GEORGE BROACH on them, please contact me. I haven't been able to look at land and deed records yet. I wanted to see if there were any records for George Broach father of Basley Broach. I recently looked through books about inscriptions in stone and history of Henry County. Got from the Archives in Tenn. There are also some good books put together about the civil war soldiers that came out of Henry County and they record their names. Get this if you haven't seen then yet. I did find an entry that said HENRY LIGHTFOOT was one of the first "teachers" in Henry County. I wish I could find out more about him. Esp[ecially where he and his wife Martha Patsy were buried. I have no clue and they did not show up in the books I looked through of cemeteries. I know that Henry's daugther, Caroline, was highly educated and also was a teacher. The letter I have that she wrote talks about school starting up and she would miss her son, now working for the cause in Texas making uniforms, saddles, etc, helping her teach school. Her letter did not have one mispelled word in it. Beautiful handwriting too. Henry and Martha LIghtfoot's daughter , CAROLINE MATILDA LIGHTFOOT, was married to BASLEY BROACH in Henry County Tenn. in 1844. They only stayed a couple of years after their marriage and then moved on to Arkansas. Camden area and Hotsprings area. I have a civil war letter written by Caroline Lightfoot whle in HOt Springs, Ark. +++++++++++++++++++ FATHER: * John Lightfoot ++++++++++++++++++++ MOHTER; ? +++++++++++++++++++ CHILDREN: +++++++++++++++++++ *Henry Lightfoot brn. about approx. 1781 (father of Caroline M.)
