(may be for Hunt) HOWARD (b. 5 Dec 1794 Granville Co., NC, d 16 Apr 1882 Henry Co., TN) was m. 31 Aug 1820 in ? to Jackey Lawrence BOWDEN (b. 19 Jul 1801 in ?; d. aft 1884 in Henry Co., TN) James was the son of Memucan and Jane (Hunt) HOWARD. Jackey was the daughter of Elias and Celia (Lawrence) BOWDEN. It is believed the Bowden's are buried in Cottage Grove, Henry Co.?, TN. I have no other information for the Bowden family. I do not know where the Howards are buried. Alleged vitals for the children of James and Jackey are: Memucan Howard (b. ?; d. ?), m. ? to Angeline Morphus Rufus Howard (b. ?; d.? [in childhood?]) Angeline Howard (b. 1826; d. Dec 1832) never married? Barnett Allen (b. 28 Sept 1827 in ?; d. ? in ?) m. 14 Aug 1851 to Sarah James? Howard (b. 1836 in ?; d. Sept 1878 in Paris Co., TN) m. ? DeWitt allegedly committed suicide, where will I find documentation of this event? James H.
