Hi, I have lots of family history in Benton County but I know for a fact that many of them lived in Henry County or moved to Henry County at one time or another. I obtained several Benton Co. histories and the new cemetery book and these have been of great help. I would like to know if anyone could tell me about similar books relating to Henry County. I believe that a great uncle WALTER SCOTT AYRES (1860 - 19??) was elected to the TN House of Representatives in the 1890's from Henry County. Also his father, my gr grandfather, first settled in Henry before moving to Benton. He was ROBERT WASHINGTON AYRES (1828-1896). The other surnames of interest are; FINLEY SWOR LOVE LEE HEGGIE WEBB HUDSON HUBBS RUSHING PARDUE (PERDUE) I'd love to hear from anyone with an interest in or knowledge of any of the above folks - and any books that are out there that would serve as a good resource.
