I am looking for confirmation that the Swanee BAXTER family was in Henry County TN in 1870 and as late as 1878, and if possible a link to Swanee's parents in the 1860 and/or the 1850 Census. Hopefully, the name Swanee, sometimes heard as Sammie B., is unusual enough to be spotted. The pertinent information is below and I hope someone can do a lookup for me. I will happily reimburse the necessary expenses. Swanee Burris Baxter was born 24 Oct 1841 [parents unknown] in Henry County. In 1868 [month and day unknown] he married Mary Ellen WATTS, who was also born in Henry County [parents unknown] 12 February 1851. Their children, who are said to have been born in Henry County, were: John b. 1868 Mary b. 1870 Molly b. 1872 Winnie E. b. 18 Feb 1876 Robert b. 1878 Their other children were born in Missouri, and, in case there is someone also researching this line, they were: Henry, called Edgar b. 1882 d. 1959 Walter, called Mitch b.
