After almost 18 years of building the memory chips & microprocessors that make these computers work and writing some of the software you use today, you'd think I'd know something about how these damn things work.......... Well, whop me upside the head with a hickery log.............. don't know diddley!!!!! I don't use, personally, ANYTHING Microsoft that I don't have to...... can't stand 'em. Use Netscape for a browser and Eudora for email........... 'thought they'd be smart enough not to get caught in the "lowlife" work ethic as Microsoft. Well, guess what??????? ...... they've been down in the mud with Microsoft. Seems they have the same Email Security PROBLEMS as Microsoft. You'll find the "patch" for Eudora at: http://eudora.qualcomm.com/security.html Netscape hasn't announced their "fix" yet. I'll let you know when they do. This isn't a "biggy" to most of you Folks........ just brings those of us who have been in the industry from the "beginning" to our knees. Kinda' like the president & his "babe" and Albert & his "monks". Shoddy Work!!! Miserable Garbage.......... The "problem" is this........ if somebody sends an attachment to an email (WHICH WON"T HAPPEN ON THESE 3 LISTS, because attachments are automatically BLOCKED from going to you from these lists) & the file name is greater than 8 characters, somebody COULD send a "virus" to your computer that would "auto-execute" and "whipe-out" your system. Not very likely, but it could happen OUTSIDE of these email lists. I can tell you, I've had some of the best "programmers" in the world work for me, and they DO this stuff for FUN......... you can only IMAGINE what they can & do DO. So. PLEASE, heed the ADICE, download the "patches" and fix your software. Dave
