Hi folks, I just found a hole in my tree, and wonder if someone can help me fill it? I have two ATKINS sisters and their husbands' surnames, but no more on the husbands. First is Joy ATKINS, born 1936, died 1960, married a VOWELL. I would think the marriage year was between about 1952 and 1956. Second is Dorothy Atkins, married an OWEN. She was (probably) born between 1930 and 1935. The parents were Henry Clay ATKINS, born 14 Jun 1899 in Henry County, Tennessee, and Annie Inez OWEN, born 03 Jan 1903 in Weakley County, Tennessee. I will send this to the Weakley and Henry County lists These are sisters of my first cousin's wife, Ruby Ann ATKINS who is also deceased. I wonder about the Vowell because when I was very young we lived on a farm outside of Martin, owned (if memory serves) by a man named Major VOWELL. I believe Major was his name rather than a military rank, and I wonder if there is any connection. Also I wonder about the OWEN because the girls' mother was an OWEN.
