Hello All, Is anyone out there doing any research on the surnames Porter or Garrett from the Paris (Henry County), Tenn area? Elyse

I have a History of Henry Co., TN, I understand they have an index to it in the libary in Paris... but I looked for the name Porter.... there is a whole page of info about James Davis Porter...b. 1828 in Paris... it appears he went to college and law school, was a lawyer in Paris, He married in 1852 to Susan Dunlap.
