    1. Re: [TNHENRY] CORRECTION TO 1850 CENSUS
    2. Hi Joan, The Sturdivant change has been made. I knew it was wrong when I copied it, but I tried not to change anything from the original unless I had personal knowledge. I corrected Trevathan and Gallimore because I knew they were spelled incorrectly, but I left all the others as the census taker wrote them. There are some glaring errors, such as a woman named Elizabeth who was listed as a male and I left that in there also. It must be the purist in me. I think people should see that those censuses were not infallible. Very valuable indeed, but still not the Gospel Word. Thank you for your kind words about the census transcription. You are correct that it was difficult, but I cannot tell you how rewarding it has been to know that I have been able to help people who have an interest in genealogy, but don't have the time or the money to get to the source of the information. I have been helped immeasurably by the generosity of others so this is my way of passing it on. If you or anyone else would like to share something, no matter how small it might be, I would be happy to put on the pages with credit for the contribution or without if you choose. Even the tiniest thing could be what helps someone make the connection they have been looking for. Have a wonderful holiday, Peggy
