He appears on page 7 of 18, while your James Hedge(s) appears on page 2 of 18. This indicates that they were not likely immediate neighbours, but does not rule out a family relationship. However, the 1850 census for Henry gives his birthplace as North Carolina (Susan was the same), whereas the 1880 census for James indicates his parents were both born in Tennessee. This is also not conclusive, but with the spelling difference (which appears to have been consistent over several decades), it is more likely that Henry was not James' father. Perhaps you can find further information about Henry and Susan, to get her maiden name from someone in Henry TN, and find out who their children were. Best of luck Norm Dawson
