    3. In my search of the various Federal Census records, I've found many of my Henry County ancestors have listed as their occupation Railroad Laborer. Does anyone have any information on any Railroad Company in Henry County in the early 1900s? Thanks, Elyse

    3. Elyse, I have a copy of the History of Henry Co. TN by McLeod Johnson.... there are two pages about the railroads. dated 1958. I understand there is an index that has been made that's in the Henry County library..... If you do not have this history... I could copy it let me know. 3. The Louisville & Nashville RR had a large operation at Paris in Henry County from the late 1800's up until the 1940's or so. There was a large yard and shop operation there. During the steam days engines were changed out at Paris. There is a book entitled "The Memphis Line" by Dennis Mize that covers the subject pretty well (and has loads of photos). Doubt that it will name any of those who worked as laborers. Walker K.
