My great-grandfather, Stephen Horton Finch, also worked at a railroad company. I thought the name of it was R&L Railroad, but I will have to double check on that for you. I still have a great-aunt that is alive (she was one of his children) and I can verify that with her. Will let you know once I find anything out. L & N Depot and yards were located in West Paris. There was also a Depot just off the square in Paris that might have been Illinois Central My father-in-law worked for the L & N Railroad in West Paris Joy Tammy Griffiths wrote: >My great-grandfather, Stephen Horton Finch, also worked at a railroad >company. Tammy, was your ggf related to John FINCH or his daughter, Meddie (Middie) B. FINCH? Meddie was my great grandmother! Dave, I'm not sure if he was related to John Finch. I believe his father to be Henry Clay Finch but have had a hard time verifying anything on my Finch family. Does that name ring a bell to you?
