Hi Bill, I found one entry for Charles W. Wilson as a witness to the will of Blount Cooper, Jan 1, 1845. While there are a few Ellison entries, none mentioned Frances/Francis. Unless there is a will with a specific bequest or a widow that had to be provided for, there are rarely any females named. I don't know when births began to be recorded in Tennessee. Somewhere around 1910-1920, I'd guess. Sometimes the local papers recorded births, but I don't think anything exists for the time period you mentioned. It's the good old U.S. Census after 1850 or tombstones for most us. The really lucky folks have family Bibles. Hope you find someone to help you further with your research. Good luck. Peggy
