Thanks, Joy, for posting this. The Henry County Library and Inman Room Genealogy Collection site are a wonderful resource! And their staff of volunteers are absolutely great. There is close collaboration with the Henry County Genealogical Society. The Inman room is named for a former County Historian, and Linda Dunlap, the current librarian is working with others to index the county archives. The thing that struck me was the age of the persons, and that some of them were women! Interesting research topic: in those censuses which named only head-of-household, how many females showed up? Another question is how did the colonial governments considered those were holding the "Western front" against the english-indian "aliance" but not part of the "polite and official" military units? Any one looking for a doctoral dissertation here?
