    2. Henry County Wills, Volume 1 Will Book A, Page 42 Will of Nicholas DARNALL, deceased In the name of God Amen. I, Nicholas DARNALL, Sr., of the county of Henry and state of Tennessee, do make, ordain and declare this instrument which is written to be my last will and testament, revoking all others. Imprimis. All my debts of which there are but few, and none of magnitude, are to be punctually paid, and the legacies whereafter bequeathed, are to be discharged as soon as circumstances will permit in the manner directed. Item 2. To my dearly beloved wife, Sealy DARNALL, I give and bequeath three hundred dollars in Tennessee Bank bills, and a horse to be valued at sixty dollars, and her saddle, and a cow and calf, and two ewes, and a sow and pigs, and a trunk and loom and wheel and cards, and a bed and furniture and a table. Item 3. I give and bequeath unto my beloved son, William DARNALL, one negro girl named SHARLOT, to him and his heirs forever. Item 4. I give and bequeath to my beloved son, Thomas DARNALL, one negro boy named Henry, to him and his heirs forever. Item 5. I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter, Patsey MELONE, a negro girl named SILVEY, to her and her heirs forever. Item 6. I give and bequeath unto my beloved son, Nicholas DARNALL, two negro boys named ISHAM and DREW, to him and his heirs forever. Item 7. I give and bequeath to my daughter, Susanna LOGAN, one negro woman named KIS, and her two children, WILLIS and SAM, to her and her issue forever. Item 9. I give and bequeath to my beloved son, Henry DARNALL, one negro woman named BELL, to him and his heirs forever. Item 10. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Lucy BONE, two negroes, JOSEPH and BECK, to her and her issue forever. Item 11. All the rest and residue of my estate, real and personal, not disposed of in manner aforesaid, may be sold by my executor and equally divided between my above named children, and also my sons, James DARNALL and Benjamin DARNALL. Lastly, I constitute and appoint my beloved sons, William DARNALL and Nicholas DARNALL, executors of this my last will and testament. In witness of all and each of the things herein contained, I have set my hand and seal this 18th day of August 1823. in the year eighteen hundred and twenty-three.
