Many family members still live in Henry County. We have hit a brick wall on tracing our family back beyond Daniel. We are participating in a DNA project to help us learn more. It is at: www.perry-dna.com Already that project has brought some significant success. Soon after Daniel Perry moved his family to this area in 1822, Elijah Perry came to Henry County from the same area in Montgomery Co. NC. There is history of a lot of Perrys in that area. There was a good list of Elijah Perry family members published on TNHENRY-L Archives on Jan. 30, 2005. Please help me find a male line Perry male who is descended from Elijah Perry who is willing to participate in our DNA project. The test involves no blood - just a gentle swab of the cheek. DNA sampling of the Elijah Perry line will help us track ancesters who were in Montgomery Co. NC, now named Stanly Co. But we need to know if we are searching for two Perry lines there, or are we just one line before the late 1700s. Thanks for any assistance.
