He was a native of Henry County, and a retired L&N Railroad employee. He was a member of the Lebanon Methodist Church. Born on August 2, 1870, the son of the late James Porter and Harriet Diggs Wright, he married the former Miss Mary Edgar, who survives. Funeral services will be held at Milligan and Ridgeway Funeral Home today at 2:00 PM with Rev. J. Noble Wilford Pastor of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Pallbearers will be C.C Scott, Phillip Irwin, Lon McClure, O.R. Odom, Henry Owens, and Hordie Hutson. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery. Survivors besides his wife are two sisters, Mrs. W.S. Maxwell, Paris, Mrs. John Roark of Kentucky; one brother Jim Wright, Paris; two son's J.P. Wright and W.A. Wright, Paris; and two grand children.
