He is perhaps the son of the Frances that appears with a William in the 1900 Henry County Census. His date of birth appears as March 1881. I am supposing this Frances to be the one married to J.L in the 1880 census (per familysearch.org). Though without an obit I could of course not confirm that this is positively your William.
