Hello, Have any of you ever heard of a Machison (possibly Madison) & Hancout funeral directors or funeral service in Henry Co TN back in the 1850s? I saw the names on an old legal document associated with a coffin, etc. I assume it was the name of the funeral directors. I was told there are no records of death as far back as 1854 in Henry Co. I thought those 2 names might be a clue, or at least a place to start looking. Does anyone recognize the names? Thanks muchly, Joan Broach Morris
Neither of these surnames appears in the Henry Co. 1860 census, nor does Madison or Harcourt. In fact, a surname Hancout does not appear in any census index I have for any state. Any other guesses as to what they might have been? --- JOAN MORRIS <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello, Have any of you ever heard of a Machison > (possibly Madison) & Hancout funeral directors > or funeral service in Henry Co TN back in the > 1850s?
