I could really use some help. I am just starting my family tree. I do know that the Parkers in my case hail from Henry County, TN. My great grandmother, Lula Mae Parker, was born there on 29 OCT 1883 (she died February, 1976 in Illinois). She was married to Dudley Parker, who died May 1942 in Illinois. I have no date of birth for Dudley, but my family likewise assures me he was born in Henry County. They had several children: Judson B. Parker, James Parker and Finnus Parker. All died in Illinois. At some point, the family left Henry County (I suspect in the 1930's) and went to Granite City, Illinois where they worked in the steel mills. Although I am starting research of census records, I thought I'd write in to see if there are any connections out there. Thank you. Morgan Parker

Morgan, My paternal grandmother's maiden name was Parker. Her name was Ello Bea Parker and she was born in Henry County, TN in 1924. Her father, Willie Herbert Parker was born in 1894 in Henry County to James Coleman Parker (b. 1867 in Tennessee) and Johnnie McFadden (b. 1874 in Henry County). Other than that I have very little information on my Parkers in Henry County. Do you recognize any of those names ??
