    1. LIPFORDS AT SPRING CREEK CEMETERY IN MANLEYVILLE
    2. JOAN MORRIS
    3. Joy, She died in 1917..Liza Lipford was her name. Her husband James D Lipford is buried there. He has a stone and he is listed as being there. But she is not..Very odd, don't you think? Surely he was buried beside her..I would assume..I just can't understand why she is not mentioned on the tombstone..It is a very big stone..Well, guess I'll never know..I'm just glad I finally found out where she is. I looked a long time for her. They had a son Samuel Lipford that lived in Henry Co also. I can't seem to find much on him either. Thanks for any help you can give me. I really appreciate it. Thanks also for the Broach listings..One of these days maybe I will get all the pieces put together. If anyone out there knows anything about Sidney Smith Broach..please let me know. Supposedly he was sheriff of Henry Co from 1852-1854. I can not find any info to verify this..He was my gg granddad. I am trying to locate his grave..No luck..I thought possibly he might be in the old Broach Graveyard at Mansfield.. Later...Joan Broach Morris

    3. Joan, Did you tell me that you had a death cert for Liza Lipford? Please send me what you know from that death cert. Also, what do you know about Sam Lipford? If this is who I think it might be, I live in sight of the old Sam Lipford home place. Did he have a daughter Elizabeth Idelle? McEvoy funeral home book does not show a Lipford in 1917 but at this time caskets were shipped to Mansfield and sold to families from there. I don't think they had a "funeral parlor" as we think of today as most bodies were carried to the home and the "wake" was held there before services. Someone else maybe can tell you more but think they only embalmed and sold the caskets. Joy JOAN MORRIS wrote: >Joy, She died in 1917..Liza Lipford was her name.
