    3. Sandy, My earliest Futrell ancestor that I can locate is John Hosea Futrell...Supposedly he was known as Hosea/Hosie..He married Amanda Louise Valentine also from Northampton Co, NC..Supposedly Hosea's brother William married Amanda's sister Mary.. Hosea & Amanda were married in Weakley Co, Tn...so somewhere along the line they all got from NC to TN..Some kind lady on this group (I won't mention her name, but she knows who she is) found Hosea at age 18 living with an Outland family in Northampton Co, NC...I found a website once that told of a book that connected the Futrells & Outlands together, but now that website has up & disappeared..Several years ago, I had gotten an address off that website for a lady out West that knew all about the Futrells & Outlands, but when I wrote her the letter was returned by the previous owner of the address..They told me they had never heard of the woman I was looking for, and that they had lived at that address for the last 4 years..Soooo, back to the drawing board!! I have searched the Northamton Co, NC records online & seems there were tons of Futrells living there...They are my brick wall also...I'm not sure I'll ever get past them...For all we know we may be kin!! Ha!Ha! Have you ever been to the Pogue Library in Murray? If I am remembering right, there is a big folder on the Futrells that lived in the LBL (Land between the lakes) before they were forced out...There is an old Futrell Graveyard over there also..I keep meaning to check it out..My husband found it 1 day while riding horses back there..He told me someday when it was safe to go back in there, he would take me there..No telling how old it is!! I definitely remember seeing the name Sanders Futrell in some of my searchings..At 1 point I thought maybe he could be my ancestor also..Hopefully soon, I can make a connection somewhere...Seems there were tons of Hosea Futrells in Northampton Co, NC....Surely 1 must be related to my Hosea!! I'll get you those pics as soon as I can... Later...Joan Broach Morris ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sandra Wanamaker" <swanmak@sbcglobal.net> To: <tnhenry@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, February 17, 2007 7:45 PM Subject: Re: [TNHENRY] NO CHIGGERS TODAY!! > Supposedly they did come from Northampton county, NC. > Which Futrell is you earliest TN ancester?
