    2. Thanks for the nice words, Myrlene. And you are right, Teresa, that knowing about your ancestors is not very common. My husband knew that one of his grandfathers was called Fishman (a nickname). That's it. And he really cared for this man, but I had a time finding out anything to begin doing research with. I finally resorted to the SSDI and ordering the grandparents applications to get a start. Some people just don't care where they came from and I married one of them. So I can't really claim that not knowing your family history is something that can be blamed on today's young families. Peggy M. T.
