Keith, The Crockett home is not standing. The JDC Atkins home on Hudson Street is still there. It is a beautiful old home but I understand that some recent owners have destroyed some of the original interior in some renovation project. Also the Jackson Manor on highway 54 is of the same Atkins family. The home of JDC Atkins' father John is not there. We suspect it was near the Atkins Cemetery on that same property. The Manor was later built.and has been renovated and additions added over the years but still remains a well kept beautiful ante-bellum home. Joy Keith Pence wrote: >are the homes of Gov.
