I see you are related to Colley's also. My mothers grandfather was Elijah Colley (Bush), his father was Hireman/Hirman Colley (b. abt 1839-1840 Ky) but changed his name upon entering the Civil War in Ky to Harmon. Harmon also went by the name of Harmon Bush because his mother, Nancy, had remarried to a Bush. Thus upon Harmons death int he Civil War (1862-63) the grandmother raised his son Elijah. Elijah's mother, also Nancy, had died before Harmon's entering the Civil War and Harmon had married Delilah Neace and had several small children herself with Harmon. I can find nothing on Harmon's family--the Colley's. There were several families of Colley's around Clark co., Breathitt co., Ky but I just cannot tie him to any of them Is it possible you might have something on my grgrgrandfather at all? Any help would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you.
