I don't know how far back they go, but someone at the library will be able to tell you. 3. Hello, Would anyone know if there are any marriage certificates on record anywhere for Henry Co marriages back in the 1800s? I have found a book at the Paris Library listing marriages, but it does not list much info, mainly just names of bride & groom & the date they got married. On a real marriage certificate, it usually list their parents' names. I have some ancestors that got married in Henry Co on February 16, 1845. Their names were Jesse Cooper McClure & Epsey McClure. I was really hoping to find more info on a real documented marriage license.. I plan to go to Rhea Library Friday, and I would appreciate any help or advice anyone could give me. I am at a total dead end on my McClures!! There has to be info out there somewhere about them..Are there any McClure descendants out there besides me??? Thanks muchly, Joan Broach Morris

I have been researching for only 6 months but find it quit interesting. I would love to share info with you - my email is kimchilly928@yahoo.com. My grandfather and great grandfather are the Robert Chilcutt's that perished in the hotel in Sierra Blanca Texas in 1949. Robert Bruce Chilcutt and his son Robert Chilcutt. My dad is Robert C Chilcutt. James Madison was Robert Bruce's father and I believe his father was James Bruce Chilcutt. and his father was Joshua Chilcutt - I believe this info is accurate. Most of the family was in TN but eventually settled to Clay Co AR from what I understand. MY dad has told me storiesd he heard regarding the Chilcutt Church, Chilcutt Cemertary and Chilcutt High School - Bradley Co TN. My dad's dad and grandfather passed when he was only 7 years old so he doesn't really know alot. Thanks for any info you can provide. Kim

I'm interested in any additional information on Joshua, b. 1790, and wife Elizabeth, born about the same time. My e-mail is jfalex37 at comcast dot net. As for James M. Chilcutt, the only bits I have are that he might have been in Clay County, AR, in 1900 (wife Emma, children Robert, John, Maude, and James?). His cousin William Chilcutt's family was there from about 1879 onward, and the data for the James there in 1900 don't fit William's half brother James and do fit James M.

We have a family tree of nearly 35000 (35K) Kittrell descendants and spouses that is totally private and a MyFamily site that is private and free and available to all Kittrell descendants and spouses. Just post or e-mail if you fit the bill and want to see thousands of bits of Kittrell info. The area of the future Gates County of North Carolina is the origin in the USA of the largest Kittrell family and Bertie County, NC was the home of one or more of the next generation, and later they moved on through Craven, Pitt, Granville, Carteret, Davidson and other NC counties as land grew to scarce for the number of male heads of household to feel that they could prosper. After that period of homesteading in various counties, many in some branches moved to other states including many times over Tennessee, with Sumner appearing to be one of the first stops and many times over Maury County and other coumties including listed alphabetically Anderson, Cannon, Coffee, Davidson, DeKalb, Hamilton, Henry Hickman, Jackson, Knox, Lawrence, Lewis, Loudon, Macon, Marshall, Maury, Meigs, Monroe, Montgomery, Morgan, Perry, Rutherford, Shelby, Smith, Sumner, Trousdale, Wayne, White, Williamson, Wilson and Weakley Counties, among many other, later became the home of many Kittrells of one line or another or multiple lines. Anyone with Kittrell in their lore please write or post or both! Anyone with Kittrell in any Tennessee document is welcome to write and to share info on an area rich in Kittrells, complicated to delineate from which Kittrell they descend and of which we have a large knowledge. We lose track of some of the female Kittrell lines consistently in every generation and would like to add them back to the family tree. The name has many spellings through the centuries in public record including as examples only Kittrell, Kittrel, Kitrel, Kitrell, Kitterlin, Kitterill, Kitterell,..., leterally dozens or literally dozens depending how well you spell such things. We will assist anyone on Kittrell matters (for free of course other than the wealth we get from both of us sharing some of what we know). And we will be most pleased to find more missing links broken from our tree due to distance and change of generations to those who barely know a whit of their Kittrell kin.

Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.tennessee.counties.henry/4381.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I don't know the address, but I can tell you how to get there. Be sure that you mean the Foundry Hill Cemetery and not the LDS Cemetery that is sometimes erroneously called the Foundry Hill Cemetery. It doesn't actually make much difference because they are near each other. The Walker family probably has burials in both as do most of the families who lived in the Foundry Hill neighborhood. I know there are several in the FHC. On US 641a bit over six miles from Paris going toward Puryear, turn left onto a road called Parkhill Road. After a short distance, you pass a lake on the right and then cross a railroad track. A bit further and the road deadends into the Puryear-Whitlock Road, also called the Foundry Hill Road. Turn left and you almost immediately are at a Y intersection. Hold left, and after about a quarter mile, the next two lanes (a loop) lead to the cemetery. My uncle and a couple of other people own the cemetery just to ensure that it is not abandoned or left to the elements. (Actually, I suppose my sisters and I are part owners since our deceased father's name is on the deed.) Some day soon, I hope to have a monument erected listing the names of our relatives we know or believe to be in unmarked graves there. Although I'm doing it primarily for relatives (most of the burials), I'm willing to list other people also if their descendents will provide the names and keep in contact with me (i.e., prod me). The LDS Cemetery is located on the same Foundry Hill Road a mile or so farther along. The church and cemetery are on the right.

However, if you will bear with me I will explain where it is located. It is, quite literally, on Foundry Hill Road just outside of Paris TN. I believe the cemetery is near Wyninger Road. You can mapquest the road and it is not really a very long road so will be easy to find.
