    3. Jim, I just want you to know they don't have chiggers in MT..... I have Lowery and Throgmorton lines... we are still trying to find out where in TN our James Lowry lived in 1830.... my Throgmortons married into the Greers in Union County, IL in 1843.... I do have some about them. Fun to write to someone who enjoys cemeteries!! A few years ago I was in Henry Co. and went to some of the cemeteries.... Paschall Cem. mostly..... A Fred Paschall of Hazel, KY [maybe it was Lynn Grove] is the one I wrote to and visited .... we are related...After his wife, Holly Paschall died, I went to the auction and have a few pictures of some 'old' Paschalls, that she had... have a good day, louise Erekson ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----

    3. Louise, You and your kids sound like me & my granddaughter...She is my partner in crime!! She loves it!! We have sooo much fun graveyard hopping, as I call it...Although her mother is not too happy about me subjecting her to sooo much time in the old graveyards among the dead..I have been taking her probably ever since she could walk good..Then her favorite pasttime was creating cemeteries at home..It was really cute (I thought). Everytime I would walk in the door, she would have to show me the new graveyard that she had made out of whatever she could find in the house..Let' s just say, my daughter was not pleased at all! She thought I was warping her child..To me, it was totally bringing out her creativity!! She just started kindergarten this year, and I go there often to volunteer...and she seems as normal as any of the other kids..Ha!Ha! She & I are just waiting for the weather to break, so we can get back out searching for more ancestors...Since I started this genealogy search for her, I think it is only fitting that she takes part in it...Don't you??? You mention the Humphreys from Henry Co TN...My husband descends from Humphreys in Henry Co also...We have muchly enjoyed seaching the country sides for their graves... Thanks for your reply, Joan Broach Morris ----- Original Message ----- From: "lgerekson" <lgerekson@bresnan.net> To: <tnhenry@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, February 17, 2007 8:34 AM Subject: Re: [TNHENRY] Mt Pleasant Cemetery tombstones > Joan, your e-mail today tells of the love you have for researching in > cemeteries.... 3. Joan, my Humphreys were; Alfred Humphreys [always spelled any way they wanted to] he married Nancy Paschall in Caswell Co., NC and they came to Henry Co. they had several children, but my great grandfather was Thomas Benjamin Humphreys, Alfred lived in Henry Co., then in Calloway Co., KY and then moved to Johnson Co., IL I must tell you about a great granddaughter, her grandfather's family [ on her fatgher's side] lived in the Minneapolis area [we live in Billings, MT] we went over there one time to visit...our daughter lives in that area too... anyway, we all got in two vans, went to the 'old' cemetery....[in the rain, not hard rain, but we got wet] we found all of these ancestors and took pictures etc. Then we went to an ice cream store and had treats.... but when we got home, they had a flat cake, frosted... it had tombstones all over it..... a fun time!!! Would you have known an Annie Lee Paschall? She was my school teacher in Aurora, IL when I was in 8th grade... She lived in Puryear, daughter of David Paschall.... but I'm sure she died long ago...... I didn't know I had Paschall relatives then... we thought it was McGeehee......... Enough for today!!! louise ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----

    3. Just received the e-mail about lost gravestones, and it happened in Lincoln, Nebraska. Not only do gravestones get lost, but my uncle's 3rd wife found the ashes of the 2nd wife in the trunk of his car after he died. My cousins were looking for their mother, and found the death certificate dated 1996, and went to Denver, Colorado, to find more information. They found her ashes, in 2005, still on the shelf, after cremation. I guess it pays to keep searching. Penny Koch - Nebraska
