John, I don't know if I have Todd's in Henry County or not, but have a copy of a note from my g-grandfather N.C. Howard to a Laura Todd that begins "Dear Cousin Laura". The address is Cottage Grove, Tenn. I'm interested in Laura Todd's connection as "cousin" to my g-grandfather. N(athan[iel?]).C. Howard is the son of James Howard and his wife Jackey Lawrence Bowden. Jackey's ancestral surnames include Lawrence. Do you have information on her? Thanks Sharon Coleman
I am researching the Todd family in Henry County and want to know if anyone else is researching this family. I need to find the connection between James Todd b. 1813 m. Martha; Richard Todd probably born about 1820 m. Betheny High; and William Todd b. 1799 m Elizabeth Steel(e). I have some information on the Todd families that I would be glad to share with someone who can help me make the connection. Thanks John Lawrence

Hi I'm researching the family of James & Susan CARTER and William and Cinthy (various spellings) CATON. Both families lived in Henry County in the early 1820s. I know a lot about them, their families, and their Texas descendents (William R. Caton (Jr.) married Susan Carter in Henry Co in 1843 and then moved to Texas), but I have found no reliable information about where they came from before Henry Co. and who their parents, etc. are. I have lots of information to share with anyone working on these families, so please contact me. Thanks, Beverly

Posted right before Christmas-- which was a terrible time. Even then there were many from Henry Co. who asked me to remind them after the holidays and they would see if they had anything in their files which would help. The Wiley can be spelled Wilie/Willie/Wylie or Wiley. I've seen it all sorts of ways. Thanks for any searches you might could do at the local level. I'm at an all time stand still. I haven't posted in a long while, but I thought I would give it a try. First I have a question about records for Henry Co. about 1818. Is there any type of records that are available for Henry when it was formed? And what county was it formed from, Stewart? I have read that Henry Co. wasn't formed then, but LDS records (which I know could be wrong) have my William B. BINYON being born there in 1818. All census records show him being from TN. He was married in Gibson County in 1843. I can't find any Binyons in TN in that time period. Does anyone have any suggestions?
