    3. To continue my post of last night: Many of these couples (and at least one of the single women) had children I have listed only those children for whom I can identify an associated spousal surname. There may also be a Doc/Dock Housden in the area - thought to perhaps have been a blacksmith or horse doctor. Other researchers in the area claim that he signed any/all documents as Doc/Dock Housden. I've not found any reference to him in my research. I'd love to know if he existed and where he fit into the scheme of thing. Children of Benjamin and Elizabeth Turner Housden John - no proof that he came to Henry County Nancy - no proof that she came to Henry County Polly married a Samuel Chamberlain - no proof that they came to Henry County Benjamin - married a Susan Guy and DID NOT come to Henry County James Riley - married Elizabeth Crocker, migrated to Henry County and later on to Texas County, Missouri. Rebecca Jane - married a William Brown - no proof that they came to Henry County. The name William Brown has to be almost as common as John Smith! Elizabeth - we don't think married BUT she had three sons and they all came to Henry County James m. Louisa Ferguson Bertha m. Hurman Allbritton Thula m. George Tucker Andrew Jackson m. Callie Lamb Novella m. Benjamin Lax George m. Mary H Robinson William Wear m. Nancey Patten Alma m. Hollie B Chrisman Addra m. John Alexander Artie m. Marvin Steely Benjamin don't know if he married or not. Sarah married James Guy and stayed in Davidson County Edmund - came to Henry County but returend to Nashville to marry a Mary Ann Grubbs. They then disappeared. William - came to Henry County, married a Martha Smith (parents Henry and Susannah Smith). They stayed in the area Had three children - don't know that any of them married Samuel - married Emily Freeland (Parents Thomas and Jane Freeland). They stayed in the area for a while but by 1870 they were in Maurry County Ashely m. Queenie Pearl Dunn Henry Harrison (HH) married Nancy J Freeland Thomas m. Mattie Allbritton They stayed in the area permanently. Warry - died without issue at age 21 in one of the battles at Islnad 10 during the civil war. Tomorrow night I'll post surnames associated with grandchildren and great grandchildren of Benjamin and Elizabeth Turner Housden. I have much information to share on the Housdens. Also have a fair amount of info to share on the Freeland families of Henry/Calloway Counties. 2. Angela
    3. William B. BINYON may have been born in 1818 Henry Co. TN, or came there when he was age 14 in 1832. He resided there until 1856 according the Billingsley Book. He was married to Lydia J. TURNER in 1843 and they had children b. in the years 1847-1856. Is there any one with birth records or if someone can tell me how I could find out short of sending off for birth records. Usually when I send off for records with payment, I get a blank certificate for no record found. I have information on the BILLINGSLEY and TURNER family if anyone is interested. 1. [TNHENRY-L] Halls in Henry County!
    2. I'll chime in, too, My Great Grandfather, Robert Thomas Hall, was born in 1843 in Como, Henry County, TN. He was the son of William and Francis Hall of NC. William and Frances were living in Como, TN, in 1843, until they moved to Independence Co, AR, sometime just as the War Between the States began. He had several brothers and sisters, a few of whom I have identified: Alfred W., John W., Phebe, Ivan, Andrew J., Lydie E., and Rebecca. His other siblings must have been born in NC. I know a lot about Robert Thomas Hall's descendants, but nothing of William and Frances, except what I have said here. Frank Clemmer

    2. Kristie Robinson
    3. Let me throw mine in here, too. I am researching John Chapman Allen b 28 Feb 1836 in Henry Co., Tennessee. He moved to Texas in the mid 1850's and married Lucretia Ann Caton who was also from Tennessee. I have quite a bit of info on her family, but little to none on his. He went by the name of "Chap". It is rumored that his cousin married her sister. That cousin's name would be Dr. William Sutton Allen b. 9 Nov 1841 in Caledonia, Henry Co., Tenn. William Sutton Allen's parents would be Dr. Samuel Archer Allen and Elizbeth Jett Rodgers. Kristie Robinson
