    2. Bonnie J. Caruthers
    3. Dear Fellow Listers, I hope I am not out of line here, but I think this is important to know and it's a good way to reach many people. You may want to forward it to friends. My brother works for Yahoo! and sent me info on a legitimate virus alert. Rather than printing it here please go to the Symantec AntiVirus Research (these are the folks who publish Norton AntiVirus) Site at: http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/ and click on Hot Topics then click on Alert: Warning About Worm.ExploreZip. This definitaely is a valid and very insidious virus and until a filter has been developed it is a very real threat. Bonnie J. 1. [TNHENRY-L] HOUSE and allied families
    2. Hi: I am looking for information on the HOUSE family of Bertie Co, NC that moved on to Obion, Sumner and Henry Counties in TN along with Fulton and Graves Counties in KY. Am specifically looking for information on family of Baliss HOUSE (about 1763-1806). His children probably included Thomas, John B., George, James, William and Baliss Jr. His father may have been George House. Allied families include Carr, Stovall, Duke, Collier, Hays, Eason, and Crow among others I'm sure. Would love to compare notes with anyone else researching this HOUSE family. I connect through the Collier and Hays lines and have info on those to share. Thanks in advance, Ann Hoskins-Brown Philadelphia, PA

    1. [TNHENRY-L] Hays family
    2. Hi everyone: I am looking for info on the parents of James C. HAYS (1810 - 1887) who ended up in Henry Co TN. His descendants went on into Calloway and Graves Counties in KY. James C. HAYS was born in Robertson Co TN and I believe his father was William HAYS born in VA who also ended up in Henry Co. Am curious about the connections to other HAYS families in the area at the time since there are a lot of connections through land transactions. These other HAYS include Samuel HAYS (1791-1875), David HAYS (1790 - 1858), Anna HAYS FISER (1774 - 1867), Robert HAYS (1780 - 1836 -- married to Julia), and Francis. I suspect that some or all of the above were siblings. They exchanged land with one another, witnessed deeds for one another and basically seemed to stick together. I would love to campare notes with other descendants of these folks and am especially interested in wills which might establish relationships. Thanks in advance Ann Hoskins-Brown Philadelphia, PA

    1. [TNHENRY-L] Sulphur Wells Academy
    2. Glenda Melson
    3. Looking for information on Sulphur Wells Academy. My ggggrandfather is said to have been the headmaster, William B. McNutt. I have read that he is buried on the grounds. About 10 years ago, I located where the school was, but the property was so overgrown that I could not get back in there to search to see if the grave was marked. If anyone has any information on this please let me know. How long did it operate as a school? When did it close? Any history of William B. McNutt as the headmaster.? Were either of his sons, George W. or Thomas, involved in the school. George W. is my ggrandfather. Is there any history of Thomas and his descendants in the area? I have a lot of McNutt information for anyone who is searching. Will glad share. Glenda Cook Melson Lebanon, MO
