Does anyone have access to the 1900 Henry County census? I am looking for any Brannon's (specifically James Riley Brannon) or any Fords. Has anyone indexed this census by any chance? Hi friends, Because of the contributions that Norma Watson made to Benton County and to Danville Crossing, we bestowed posthumously to her at the 1999 DCHomecoming, the honor or our "Caring and Sharing Award". It was in recognition of her generous nature, and outstanding genealogical knowledge. Many of you knew her. When I got home I mailed the Award to her husband. This is the email I just received from her husband and daughter. I wanted you to know how much our recognition of this lady was appreciated. Cher ************************* Cheryl, I just wanted to thank all of the people in the genealogy group for the lovely certificate of Caring and Sharing you honored my Mother with. She would be proud of all you how you all stuck together in all your efforts ( which is what families are for) to gather information and to also hold onto the new friends you have made while doing so. My Father would like to thank you so much and to say that the certificate is now being framed and placed next to her First Families Certificate. We really appreciate all the kind letters and concern we have received from all of you. We are sad that she is gone, but at least we know her work will live on in many new lives through you. God Bless you all, Jill and Joe Watson
Dennis...just a couple of possible clues. In 1830 Henry Co TN records there is mention of a H. HOLLIDAY. In 1833/34 Henry Co TN records there is mention of a R. HOLLIDAY, and also Kelley HALLADAY. In 1822-1830 Henry Co records there is a James L. HOLLIDAY mentioned several times. These could be some threads to follow up on. The above records don't give any family information. On the 1830 Henry Co TN census index : Henry HOLLODAY, 000011-0001 and also a Henry HOLLIDAY, 222001-211001 Kermit Rutledge
Hi, I am researching the name WALLACE in Henry Co.>>AR>>MO. Is anyone connected to the Nancy WALLACE the 1850 and 1860 Census, District 9. I am wondering if she is somehow connected to my Wallaces in Henry Co.. She appears to have a son, David C.. Thanks. Daryl
Looking for HOLLIDAY. William Carrol Holliday had parents in or around Paris TN before and after the Civil War. William Carrol Holliday was born December 1844. I/we cannot seem to establish who his parent(s) were. One version is he was born to an un-wed mother. Another great grandchild ( 89+) insists William had both parents and they were in Paris TN. Of course no one seems to recall a name!! Anyone have a source of church documents, Bible notes, school records, city directories listing Holliday families? The 1850 and 1860 census so far have not given up any answers. Thanks, I know we all have our frustrating relatives!! Wow. You must know a whole lot about your family lines. I just knew someone would be connected to those early signers. BTW, I did not write this, merely forwarded it. I am also searching the FARRAR name. I noted that you have FARRAR (VA) in your list. Benton County, TN had a good many FARRAR's. My gggrandmother was Tricy FARRAR but it is "said" that she was born in Centralia, IL. Know nothing beyond that. Thomas Nelson, Jr. - my 3rd cousin, 6 times removed, I'm proud to say. His gg-grndfather, Col. George Reade, was also gg-grandfather to John Goodwin, b. about 1740 in Va, who I descend from.
